Out-of-Control Spending Continues in D.C.

Did any of you believe that once the GOP got control of both chambers of Congress and the White House that we would continue to see huge increases in spending? Where is the party of fiscal responsibility?

According to Forbes, this new deal ushers in an era of permanent trillion dollar deficits with no chance of balancing the budget.

We should all call upon Leader McConnell to change the rules so that Republicans can pass bills with a simple majority. We have a rare window in which to rein in spending and change the culture in D.C. under the leadership of President Trump. If you agree, contact your Senators and express your opinion. Republicans are squandering a golden opportunity.

We all need to thank Senator Rand Paul for his speech yesterday in which he outlined some of the egregious examples of outrageous spending. Said Paul, “Tonight, you could feel the frustration and embarrassment growing in Congress as we exposed the hypocrisy of Republicans who are joining in an unholy alliance and spending free-for-all with Democrats at the expense of the American people and our party’s supposed principles.”

Big shout out to Texas Representatives John Ratcliffe, Jeb Hensarling, Louie Gohmert and Joe Barton for voting against the two-year budget deal.

President Trump said it best:

“Negotiations start now.

Sadly, we needed some Dem votes for passage.

Must elect more Republicans in the 2018 Election.

Costs on non-military lines will never come down if we do not elect more Republicans in the 2018 Election, and beyond.

This Bill is a BIG VICTORY for our Military, but much waste in order to get Dem votes.

Fortunately, DACA not included in this Bill, negotiations to start now!”
