Actress/Author Janine Turner to Speak at GOP Event

Golden Corridor Republican Women are excited to announce their biennial New Members' Luncheon to be held on Saturday, May 2, 2009.

Don't miss your chance to hear from a dynamic Republican woman, Emmy-nominated actress Janine Turner, most widely known for her starring role on the prime time TV show Northern Exposure, portraying Maggie O'Connell, and the Lifetime series Strong Medicine, portraying Dr. Dana Stowe. Most recently she has starred as Katie McCoy on NBC's Friday Night Lights.

Janine is the author of Holding Her Head High: 12 Single Mothers Who Championed Their Children and Changed History and is a frequent contributor to Republican-party candidates and organizations. Janine will speak about her book, why she is a Republican, what it is like to be a Republican in Hollywood, and her views on what Republicans can do to become the majority party again in this country.
Janine's book will be available for purchase - the perfect Mother's Day gift.
